A little request... (scroll down for more posts this week)

Ehem... I have a bit of an announcement to make. This Saturday, September 27th, I will be turning 30. Yes, that's right, 30. It's hard to believe on many levels, but it's true. So, in honor of my upcoming birthday, I have a request to make. Call it a birthday wish if you will...

I would love to know who's out there reading my blog. As a little birthday present to me, would you mind leaving me a comment on this post, whether you have ever left one or not. Let me know you are there, how long you've been reading and what your favorite part of my blog is. I just love getting comments and hearing that something I have put out here for everyone to see has blessed someone else. If you don't have a favorite part, or even if you do, and know of something you wish I would include in my blog (like the rest of my love story for instance), let me know that too. I'll see what I can do.

Thank you to all of you who have stuck around here, and to all of you who just stumbled over. I hope you will continue to stick around.

(I'll be leaving this post on top through the weekend... scroll down for new posts!)

  1. Today is the first time I have read your blog. Found is through someone else. HAPPY BIRTHDAY (soon) I am also a mom of two, a Christian, and am thirty years old. I have two girls that are 21/2 and my other one (a girl) turned 1 last week. I love photography and am in a photo class right now through a community college learning to use my DSLR. I love your toddler menus.

My girls LOVE signing time. I am a teacher of preschool special needs children and we use it in our classroom. (I work part time in the schools, but dream of staying home full time one day)

I personally have the first set of 13 DVD's. They are my girls favorite thing to watch. My 2 year old now a ton of signs. My little one has just started using signs.

Anyway, It is nice to find people who are in the same place we are.

  4. I just subscribed, I think I found your blog from the toddler menus on . . . TammysRecipes.com? Maybe? Anyway, I need to figure out some better foods for my four-toothed 18-month-old and plan to look here for some inspiration. Looking forward to it!

  5. I'm here! Happy Birthday! 30 is a good number. :)

I don't usually comment because I use Google Reader. So I just read and enjoy what you have to say, without needing to put in my two cents.

I enjoy looking the toddler menus. My little guy is turning one soon, so I might be borrowing some of your ideas.

  8. I think you know that I'm a regular reader, and I can't wait to hear the rest of your love story. One way to keep up (sort of) with who visits your blog is to get Feedjit. I've got one on my blog, and I find it very interesting.

  9. i've commented here before, i think. i started reading you maybe a year ago? Around when my son got teeth, and i heard about your toddler menus.

i really like your all-around readability. You blog about your whole life, which keeps it interesting to me. If it were only about your kids, or menus, or work, it would be boring, but the combo of those things makes it different every post, which i really like.

    Happy birthday!

  10. Hey you! I know that you know that I read your blog but because you asked, here I am. Although I have to say, I thought you were 29 this year like Michael, that you always said he was older than you by a few days...I was confused then freaked out thinking maybe this was Michael's 30th and not his 29th?!?!?!?!? Anyway, enjoy your special day and welcome to the 30 club:)

  13. Early Happy Birthday. 30 isn't so bad. I'm almost finished my 30th year and it's been a good one. I found your blog from a link on a meal planning site I believe (maybe Orgjunkie?) in early June. I love your toddler menu and really need to sign up to have it emailed to me.
But I stayed because of Learning for Little Ones. I love this idea! Before I became a SAHM/WAHM I was a teacher with my last teaching job in a school being in Kindergarten.
Currently, I am a SAHM/WAHM to two boys aged 27 months and 5 months. My "work" is as an Independent Educational Consultant with Discovery Toys and I also volunteer with my local breastfeeding support group. We have a large consignment sale twice a year (fall and spring), monthly meetings, and a weekly playgroup of which I am a session leader this year. Our group is bringing Dr Jack Newman to our city this fall to speak about breastfeeding.

  14. My little guy is just a bit older than yours, so it's been fun hearing all those toddler stories.I'm also a photographer so it's nice to hear how someone else balances life as well!

I found you probably late last year and stop by a couple times a week to see what you're up too.

  15. Happy Birthday! I try to keep up with your blog too! I really enjoy your meal plans and all of the wonderful ideas you have! Our babies are close in age and I love hearing about them too!! I can tell from your posts that you have a serving Christian heart and a heart for missions and I think that is super cool.

  17. Happy Birthday! The 30's are great!! :)
I found your blog a while ago - maybe a year or so...Check it weekly if not daily.
I'd love to get a chance to follow your toddler menu plans, but haven't done so yet. I keep your site bookmarked though because someday soon I will.
I enjoy reading about your normal life with its struggles and triumphs. We can always learn from each other!

  18. Happy Birthday! I love your blog as well. I don't think there is one thing in particular that I love more than the rest. Keep it up...what you are doing. Even though I don't post a comment on your posts very often, I do check it out daily.

  20. Happy birthday! I started reading your blog for the toddler menus, and I enjoy your learning for little ones posts, too. I also like that you seem like a real mom, like me, who tries her best to get everything done, but just has to accept that sometimes, it's not going to happen.
