Words!

We've been so enjoying a new season in Tornado's life this last week or so. He's officially starting to talk! And I mean more than Mama, Dada, and a name for Sweet Pea. This weekend he started saying "doggy", last night he said "more" (or something close enough to figure out since he was signing it too), and there are several other words he's been saying as of late. "Buhhhh" is bug which he calls all sorts of bugs and spiders. "Bahhh" is ball, and there is something similar that he uses for bubbles. Yesterday morning at church (for a play date) we had the following "conversation".

Tornado (trying to get into the toddler nursery to play)

Mommy: no no Baby, we are going outside, come on...

Tornado: sie, sie... (running down the hall faster than I've ever seen him run before)

That was a new "word" too. :)
It's so fun to see our little one learning new words. He copies lots of our words, at least making sounds like what we've said. It keeps us laughing! :)

I love toddler talk - unless I'm trying to figure out what they're telling me and just not getting it. I can totally hear how Tornado says "outside", that's how Emma says it too. "Sie, sie!" She's started trying to repeat things we say. She's almost 18 months - is that close to Tornado's age?

Yea! That is great news. I remember when our little Bug started talking after taking Speech Therapy for a few months. It was amazing and soooooooooo exciting to finally understand each other. That is the best. *smiles*

Elias (18 months) seems to learn best on his changing table! So far he can say "all dry," "all clean," "diaper" and "Stinky!" He says a few other words too but those changing table words are his best:)
