Learning for Little Ones: Bible Time

Bible time in our home is way more hit and miss than I would like... at least for the kids. We read Tornado's kid Bible each evening before he goes to bed, but I like him to hear the actual Bible read each day too. Though that doesn't happen every day (things get a little crazy around here), I find that Crystal's idea of reading during breakfast works great!!

When we can, I read Genesis chapter 1 to Tornado while he is eating his breakfast. It's great. One... he can't get away. Two... he's only doing a mindless activity, so even though he isn't paying complete attention, he is still hearing God's Word. I emphasize certain voices with fun vocal patterns. That gets his attention. I hope that as he continues learning to talk that he will pick up on parts of it and we can work on memorizing it together too!
